A numerical analyst for your simulation codes
Finite Clarity is the practice of Romain Mottier, PhD in applied mathematics, specialised in numerical methods and simulation codes.
My job is to make simulations right, fast and defensible. I spent my research years on numerical analysis: convergence, error estimation, stability and solvers. I write simulation codes and deliver them in the programming language my clients use.
My role is to give you computational tools you can trust: writing the solver or module your code lacks, in commercial software (Abaqus, Ansys, COMSOL…) or in your in-house code, proving that a code is right, and modernising or parallelising an existing code.

Independence
No licences to sell and no partnership with any software vendor. I recommend what works for your problem.
Transparency
Fixed-price quotes, written scope, reproducible results. You know what you pay for and what you get.
Confidentiality
An NDA before any technical exchange. Your code and data stay on your systems or on an encrypted machine.
Candour
If I am not the right person for your problem, I tell you and point you to someone who is.
Conflicts of interest
Before each mission I check for conflicts of interest: links with the client, with the author of the computation or with the manufacturer concerned. When in doubt, I decline the mission.
Where I work
Based in the Basel area, where France, Switzerland and Germany meet. On-site meetings in the Upper Rhine region, everything else remotely.
